Great news, it’s almost Christmas! Or is it great news? The children have Santa’s grotto, we, the ‘grown-ups’ have our office Christmas parties to look forward to and there’s all the christmas presents to buy! Such fun! But you and I know full well, Christmas tends to be fairly expensive and hunting down those bargains can take over.
Scouring the shops for those special offers we are presented by numerous ways to stretch our money that little bit further but am I on my own in thinking some of the supermarkets are taking it too far. They are now offering us ‘buy one to get two free’ deals! What’s that all about? I don’t generally require ‘one’ let alone THREE (!!!) but in our money saving efforts these deals do sometimes seem too good to ignore!
Something for nothing? That’s a good deal isn’t it? Call me ‘a walkover’, but I find these kinds of deals extremely tricky to refuse!
I enjoy a discount but I find I have to walk into supermarkets with blinkers on so I don’t fall prey to the evil supermarket master-race’s plan to brainwash us into buying things we don’t want. The only proper way to save money is to stop buying what we, in effect, don’t need!
At the end of the day, if you don’t ‘take advantage’ of these BUY ONE, GET TWO FREE deals, you have less waste to chuck in the bins. Better to buy what you need and save money to pay for the necessities of petrol, clothing and ink cartridges.
We all have to save money where we can in order to make ends meet. For example, I save a lot of money by purchasing Value brands in supermarkets (which always seem to be just as good as the store brand), I browse the bargains on the internet before even stepping outside my front door, I never buy ready meals, I shop at Poundland and always buy the cheapest ink cartridges I can find.
Knowing where to buy your printing ink will save you A LOT OF MONEY. Instead of buying costly original ink cartridges I find compatible ink cartridges do the job just as well – saving a fortune!
Whenever I hunt for bargains I try to steer clear of those supermarket ‘give-away’ schemes (most of the time!) and actually save myself some money!
